Which MLB team to become a fan of?

I am new to MLB and live outside the US. There are two teams that I really like which are the Dodgers and the Angels. I can't support both teams as they are rivals so I need to decide who to become a fan of. I have family that live near Anaheim and support the Angels but I really like the Dodgers for a number of reasons.

Any suggestions?

Out of those 2: Dodgers.

The Dodgers are in Los Angeles, right near Anaheim, so the location isn't much of a difference. And, they aren't exactly rivals because the Angels are in the American League while the Dodgers are in the National League. The Dodgers' real rivals are the Giants.

The Dodgers also had the honorable Jackie Robinson. Their present team is great also. Matt Kemp, who got a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger in 2009, and Andre Ethier are young, improving, and talented. I, personally, also like Clayton Kershaw and Blake DeWitt.

Hopefully I'm not TOO bias, saying that the Dodgers are my 2nd favorite team and the Angel are my 2 least favorite team... But that was all decided by observing the teams. The Dodgers just can grow on you quickly.

The Angels have great history and an even more bright future. The Angels were formed from scratch as an expansion club in year 1960. Since then the team have keep their fans intrigued and entertained. Between Disney's promotions, pending lawsuits over the team's name, a larger-than-life owner in Gene Autry, Bo Belinsky, Dean Chance, Alex Johnson, and Nolan Ryan with his no-hitters, the huge losses and the great comebacks, the one thing you can't call the Angels is boring!

The team will be looking for a solid season from first baseman Kendry Morales after the up-and-coming star mounted a breakout season in 2009. Also, expert outfielders Bobby Abreu and Hideki Matsui will be looking to up their stats and snag a World Series ring as they enter the twilight of their memorable careers.

With the player losses the Angels have experienced and the inevitable gains of the other division members, particularly the Seattle, there's become a growing concern that Anaheim's supremacy atop the AL West is coming to a halt. But those who decide to turn their backs on the LA Angels of Anaheim should be prepared to do so at their own risk. The Angels, of course, still have their clever and talented manager and all the best things that make them a favorite team among baseball fanatics.
