Ping pong or table tennis? What's the difference? Providing you are enjoying smashing ping pong balls in ping pong tables does it matter what you call it? But just to set things right, the phrase "ping-pong" must have orginated from the sound from which is created when you strike the ping-pong ball back and forth with the tennis racket. Hmm. Does it really sound like "ping-pong"? It surely does sound a bit like "whish-whack" to me. So which would you choose to say: "my interest is playing ping pong" or "I am an expert whiff-whaff player"?

In the United States, the two association amalgamated and became the "United States Table Tennis and Ping-Pong Association" in May 1, 1903. Currently, there are a lot of variations of the famous sport and although the rules of the sport have been changed and altered through time, it only have made the table tennis game much more fun to do.
